Cloud Data Engineer (Staff Engineer) - Critical Care-018569
We are looking for a Cloud Data Engineer (Staff Engineer) who will be responsible for expanding and optimizing our data ingestion, storage and analytical platform. This will be an experienced Modern Data Warehouse expert who enjoys optimizing data systems and building them from the ground up. This person will be responsible for designing and implementing Cloud based Analytical platform.
Design and implement end-to-end Data Warehouse solution using Cloud Services
Implement Data Governance and Architecture practices for Cloud Infrastructure
Design Data model and build highly scalable cloud based analytical solutions
Design, Build and maintain Modern Data warehouse schematics, Infrastructure, Data Pipelines and Data Streams
Design and Develop ETL code for integrating large datasets into the Cloud platform from various data sources
Identify internal process improvements, automate manual processes, optimize data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability
Design and implement Audit processes for Data ingestion and access
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems, Engineering or another quantitative field with minimum 7 years industry experience or Master's Degree with 5 years of industry experience.
7+ years of experience building processes supporting data transformations, data structures, dependencies and ETL workload management
Must be a highly motivated self-starter who is able to achieve results with minimal direction.
Requires a high-energy individual who has excellent teamwork, partnering, and negotiation skills.
Must be proactive and creative in achieving goals
Should be hands-on and have solid experience in applying principles and best practices of schema design and storage solutions utilizing various types of database/file systems: Relational, NoSQL, Data Lakes
Good working experience with Azure, AWS or Google IaaS components and services
Working knowledge of one or more of the following: Azure DW, Data Lake, SQL DW, Azure/AWS Services, CosmosDB, AWS Redshift, DynamoDB
Experience in using container technology such as Kubernetes, Dockers
Proven history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large disconnected and unstructured datasets
Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including SQL Server, Teradata, Cosmos DB and Cassandra
Experience with Data Modeling and Data Analysis
Solid Experience with ETL tools and technologies like SSIS, Informatica, Pentaho etc
Experience working with high resolution time series data (ECG, Waveform etc)
Experience building and optimizing ‘Big data’ pipelines, Architectures and Data sets
Experience in high performance computing using Spark, cloud infrastructure, or related technology
Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
Experience with Matlab and Python will be a huge plus
Knowledge of EMR or Medical Device products will be a huge plus
Experience with Java, Kafka is preferred
