Working independently, the Director of IT leads the design and implementation of key technology systems, projects and procedures for the Tech Brands division of GME. The Director of IT oversees various teams within the Spring Mobile team’s IT Department. This position requires leadership, initiative, discipline, daily problem solving, and prioritization. Working collaboratively with others, the Director leads continuous improvement, growth, and stability on behalf of the global GME organization. Most activities may be undertaken without prior approval from his or Tech Brands supervisor or GME leaders.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*
Within the Tech Brands Division, lead continuous improvement, growth and stability for global GME technologies
Collaborate with IT architects, engineers and the TBSC team to develop systems and procedures to minimize issues and inefficiencies at the support center and in the retail locations
Drive high level IT initiatives and projects to successful completion, on time and on budget
Promote GME core values, including Passion, Responsibility and Empowerment for customers, associates, vendors, and shareholders
Drive the adoption of the Tech Brand Division’s S Factors, Mission, Vision, Values and Pledge of the company and reinforce the concept of “taking care of our customers”
Direct the formulation and implementation of the enterprise data strategy
Direct the security and compliance teams ensuring the protection of our systems and data
Establish regular reporting mechanisms for projects and initiatives
Track and reconcile all expenditures
Collaborate with and lead other IT team members on large projects
Recommend division-level level policies and procedures
Direct the successful execution of large scale IT projects
Drive outstanding business results through traditional management functions including, but not limited to, sourcing and selecting talent, coaching and development, performance assessment, and general talent planning

BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)
Regionally accredited BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent
8 or more years of IT leadership experience
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES
Expert or proficient knowledge of retail-focused IT systems
Proficient organizational and time management skills
Proficient computer business skills (Mac or Microsoft programs), including Windows or Mac versions of word-processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and data management programs
Expert ability to work collaboratively with others; conduct working relationships in a manner acceptable to others and to the organization
Proficient ability to remain effective under stress, and respond to pressure in a manner acceptable to others and to the organization
