Minimum Qualification:
Education and Experience:
1 year experience in the construction trades and/or vocational training (HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, or welding)

High School diploma or GED.

Valid driver’s license

Healthcare industry experience is preferred.

Summary:
Performs a wide range of construction labor services in support of all renovation work for all WVU Healthcare facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following.

Responsible for providing laborer services for renovations and improvement projects performed by the Planning, Design and Construction Dept.

Performs various construction activities as assigned by supervisor in accordance with WVUH and WVUH PDC policies and procedures and based on skill level and Organizational needs.

Duties involve receiving, movement, relocation, storage and disposal of construction materials and equipment.

Other duties will involve relocation of furniture, records, equipment, and personnel as needed.

Fabricating, maintaining, updating, and installing new interior & exterior facility signage.

Additional duties will include sweeping, mopping, dusting, shoveling, and cleaning construction site.

Incumbent will be expected to perform other duties as assigned.

Ability to drive single axle box truck.

Ability to climb and work off of ladders, scaffolding, or electric lifts.

Must be able to operate basic manual cleaning equipment.

Must be able to lift at least 100 pounds.
