ABOUT THE JOB

Bellingham based Heating and Plumbing company has an immediate need for an outgoing and proactive Payroll and Human Resources Assistant. Responsibilities will include providing a wide array of administrative support including processing payroll, maintaining employee personnel files; managing document flow, and other employee related projects as needed. The qualified assistant can have 2+ years of work experience, strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, thorough knowledge of payroll software, and demonstrate the ability to work efficiently in collaboration with a cross functional team.

Position Responsibilities

Payroll:

  • Analyze, prepare and input payroll data using TSheets time keeping and Quickbooks payroll to produce accurate and timely payroll
  • Keep track of sick and vacation time accrued and used
  • Process vacation requests
  • Other duties as assigned

Human Resources:

  • Maintain and create employee personnel files
  • Assist in the day to day operations of the HR functions and duties
  • Other duties as assigned

Administrative:

  • File, scan, organize when needed

* Enter invoices and pay statements

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2-5 years of payroll experience

* Knowledge of quick books preferred

Skills:

  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Skilled in all things technology

Job Type: Part-time 20-25 hrs weekly
