WHAT YOU WILL DO:
As Program Director, you will be responsible for delivering Stryker's Endoscopy Division’s flagship software projects for use in Operating Rooms around the world. Your products will be a critical element of how we accomplish Stryker’s mission: Together with our customers, we are driven to make healthcare better.
You will play a hands-on leadership role, directly leading large project teams to execute our portfolio of projects. You will typically manage multiple projects at the same time. You will usually be focused on the delivery of software through an Agile methodology, but you may also occasionally be asked to make modifications to the hardware our software runs on or to launch physical accessories to our customers.
Your role is not limited to Technical Program Management and includes management of the full project. This means understanding the business case for your projects as well as the priorities for our Division so you can make smart decisions and recommendations about tradeoffs and options.
To succeed in this role, you should be a leader that people want to follow. You should be a Project Management expert with a successful track record of delivering new products to external customers. You should have strong experience with Agile software development. You should have excellent stakeholder-management skills. And you should have a clear, demonstrable understanding of business tradeoffs as well as a history of being trusted with critical business decisions. And you should be able to develop others in these same skills.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
Degree required in an Engineering or related field. Masters in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent preferred.
10+ years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Leadership experience with Agile software development.
Successful track record of launching new products to external customers.
Significant project management experience.
Ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organization.
Ability to bring together multiple functions (R&D, Marketing, Quality, Operations, etc.) as a cohesive team
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Preferred: Experience at a medical device company.
