Full Time Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist

$55-70K/year DOE

Located in Spanish Fork, UT

Re Therapy Services (RTS) is a multi-disciplinary pediatric therapy center located in Spanish Fork, UT. RTS specializes in Autism and provides OT, Speech, and ABA therapies. All speech therapy is done in clinic. Re Therapy is dedicated to providing the highest quality clinic care for the children we serve as well as superior levels of customer service for their families. Re Therapy Services seeks a licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) who is passionate about providing first class treatment to children of all disorders, especially with autism spectrum disorder from 2 to 18 years of age. The SLP assesses, designs, and implements speech therapy services and is responsible for the development, implementation, ongoing evaluation, and maintenance of treatment plans to ensure they are maximally effective. RTS places high emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration, which includes a weekly collaboration meeting and co-treatment sessions with both occupational and/or ABA therapists. Clinic owners have worked hard to create a culture of caring for not only clients and their families, but also for other staff members.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients/clients; develop a plan of care with associated goals including quantifiable speech and language outcome targets
  • Provide diagnosis, treatment, instruction and other speech and language services according to the scope of practice limitations per State statute
  • Complete all required documentation
  • Abide by all facility policies and procedures and educational requirements
  • Collaborate with other disciplines as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and permitted by law & training
  • Counsels, educates, and instructs patients and their families regarding their speech-language therapy treatment
  • Attend patient care team meetings, parent meetings, and other conference as requested
  • Attend and participate in continuing educational programs
  • Attend and participate in mandatory in-service training.
  • Comply with HIPAA laws.

Educational Requirements, Licensing & Other Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences & Disorders from an accredited college or university.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, or participating in the Clinical Fellowship (CF).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain state Speech Language Pathologist license(s) required by Utah Office of Occupational Licensing applicable to the profession.
  • Ability to pass a background screening and drug test, job offer contingent on these screenings.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to lift and carry clients with adaptive equipment.
  • Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to sit on the floor or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be willing and able to restrain/hold/transport and utilize quick body movements in the course of working with children with challenging behavior.
  • Must have manual dexterity to perform specific computer and electronic device functions for data collection.
  • Must be able to receive detailed information through oral communication.
  • Must have visual acuity to read and comprehend written communication through computer, electronic devices, and paper means.

All candidates must speak, read, and write the English language fluently.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $55,000.00 to $70,000.00 /year
