Position Title: Hotel-Night Manager

This position is responsible for managing the nightly operations of the hotel.
· Oversee nightly operations of the resort, by promptly responding to all guest requests and opportunities in a professional and attentive manner.
· This may include security, transportation, and coordination with other departments.
· Interacts with guests, provides leadership, and solves problems.
· Always ensure guest and employee safety.
· Strategically manages room issues to maximize profits, efficiently utilize space and limit customer relocation.
· Alert and willing to assist other departments with problems of concerns throughout the night.
· Actively track and analyze guest Unifocus reporting and scores to ensure guest satisfaction.
· Act as Gatekeeper for hotel incidents and claim reporting.
· Supports and encourages a clean, safe, and healthful work environment.
· While this position directly refers to night management, some days may be required for meetings and collaborations.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; cash register, point of sale system, email.
This job has supervisory responsibilities over 6 employees at Lajitas General Store. There are subordinate supervisory responsibilities to one position.
