Orthopaedic Surgeon with a Sports Medicine Fellowship seeks a full-time Physician Assistant. The position is split between OR and clinic. The PA will work directly with this doctor handling total hip and knee replacements, lower extremity and general cases. The doctor has a well-established orthopaedic practice. The facility offers various ancillaries such as MRI, Digital Xray, EMR and onsite PT. Specific responsibilities include:
- evaluation of injuries;
- injections;
- reductions;
- aspirations pre and post H&P’s;
- surgical first assist;
- casting;
- patient education;
- writing scripts;
- ordering and reviewing tests.
The PA will be required to take call time. The PA will work alongside the orthopaedic surgeon and eventually have the ability to see their own patients.
The new PA will be employed by the Orthopaedic Group and includes a full benefit package. The position is located in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. Salary is open and depends on experience, plus a bonus plan. Qualified candidates please forward your CV for consideration.
