Who we are
The Spaceship Company (TSC) is an affiliate of Virgin Galactic as a space-system manufacturing organization. Headquartered at Mojave Air and Space Port in Mojave, California, it is building and testing a fleet of WhiteKnightTwo carrier aircraft and SpaceShipTwo reusable spaceships that, together, form Virgin Galactic’s human spaceflight system. Like many Virgin companies across the world, its team of over 350 talented and dedicated engineers, technicians and professionals are drawn together by a willingness to disrupt and challenge the status quo and deliver innovative aerospace solutions to our customers’ needs. TSC’s extensive capabilities encompass preliminary vehicle design and analysis, manufacturing, ground testing, flight testing and post-delivery support.

Who You Are
As a Recruitment Coordinator - contractor, you’ll be the star of first impressions for potential future hires. You will set the stage for candidate’s initial reactions to our hiring process, company and culture. With an awesome personality you will inspire and entice potential hires. Ready to jump into any scenario whether wooing candidates or assisting the recruiters at reeling people in to everything our company and the Mojave Desert has to offer! A tenacious and service oriented approach makes you friendly and efficient as you make your mark on the attraction, hiring and retention of top talent. You are unafraid of tackling process minutia and multi-tasking. Your relentless attention to detail will ensure the best candidate experience.
Coordinate the candidate experience for their onsite interview day
Includes the following and more: room bookings, ordering meals, greeting and welcoming the candidate, insuring the interview schedule flows smoothly (i.e. people get to be where their supposed to be, when their supposed to be), providing local tours and introduction to realtor partners, collecting receipts and travel reimbursement request forms from candidates, etc.
Liaison for telephone and on-site interviews
Candidate processing in our ATS (Icims)
Coordination of candidate travel with recruiter and our travel team
Make sure to give credit where it’s deserved - Referral program tracking
Facilitate background checks and drug screen processes on time
New hire and contractor orientation/on-boarding as needed
Resource for HR Team
Interact with candidates, reception and hiring managers to ensure a successful candidate experience
Perform work in compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulations pertaining to equal employment opportunity, immigration, and company policy per management direction
Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office Products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Expertise in Microsoft Outlook and calendar management
Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Must be detail oriented, with strong organizational skills
Must have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Recruiting coordination in a professional environment ideal; additional experience in event planning or administrative/executive assistant work is a plus
What you bring
Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required
Creative individual with a keen eye for detail
Proactive mind-set, with the desire to take initiative in order to solve problems and deliver solutions
Strong sense of urgency; ability to execute quickly and efficiently
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with tact and discretion
Flexible, with the ability to multitask in support of the timelines and deliverables of team members
Team-player, but with the ability to work very independently as well
Ability to work under pressure with ‘on the spot’ priority situations in a quick and effective manner
Able to learn quickly and grasp the project and details
Experience from a start-up environment is ideal, but not mandatory
