Special Education Teachers

Opportunity: The Kindezi Schools are looking for a special education teachers for the 2018-2019 school year who have a heart for teaching students in small groups (8 students maximum) based on the individual needs of learners, developing strong relationships with students and their parents, and embracing leadership roles in the school.The Kindezi Schools are looking for exceptional special education teachers for the 2018-2019 school year who:

are committed to teaching students of diverse needs and backgrounds in small groups (8 students being the maximum) to high expectation with the understanding that all students can learn at high levels,
understand that students have individual and specific needs as learners and require differentiated instruction,
can deliver instruction that is engaging and rigorous,
demonstrates strong classroom management skills with a repertoire of strategies for diverse behaviors,
value the development of strong relationships with students, their parents, and the community, and who
willingly embrace leadership roles in the school.

Providing students with instructional materials that address individualized learning plans within established lesson plans.
Administers developmental testing programs, subject specific assessments, etc. for the purpose of assessing student competency levels and/or developing individual learning plans.
Advises parents and/or legal guardians of student progress for the purpose of communicating expectations; student's achievements; developing methods for improvement and/or reinforcing classroom goals in the home environment.
Assesses student progress towards objectives, expectations, and/or goals
Collaborates with instructional staff, other school personnel, parents and a variety of community resources for the purpose of improving the overall quality of student outcomes
Demonstrates methods required to perform classroom and/or subject specific assignments for the purpose of providing an effective program that addressing individual student requirements.
Focus on just teaching 1-2 subjects rather than teaching all subjects
