This position is responsible for supporting the communications strategy, planning, business integration, and execution of enterprise-wide communications.
Editing and supporting publication of daily, weekly and monthly initiatives to support AutoZone’s business operations and culture.
Communication liaison between Store Support Center functional-area teams, Field Operations Management, Marketing, Merchandising, IT and 90,000 store AutoZoners.
Facilitate updates to Intranet content and ensure all content adheres to site design standards.
Gather and develop new content to support operational activities and organizational initiatives.
Support enterprise communication strategies for the company
Coordinate external and internal communications flow including Intranet, presentations, newsletters, blogs, website, video scripts, executive presentations and quarterly magazine.
Acquire and maintain a detailed knowledge of the company’s policies, principles and strategies, and keep up-to-date with relevant developments.
Support and evaluate results of communication campaigns with the team.
Serve as a facilitator and provide communication solutions for internal audiences.
Create surveys and audits using approved company survey tools (e.g., Survey Monkey, Qualtrics, Perseus) to support company initiatives
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or similar discipline required
Minimum of two to seven years directly related experience
Ability to prepare business letters, project summaries, presentations with proper format and assure accuracy in and proper use of punctuation, spelling and grammar, using all parts of speech; knowledge of AP style preferred
Strong writing and organizational skills a must; Retail background preferred
Solid knowledge of best practices in communicating in digital (online and mobile) and print environments
Familiarity with tools and processes for editing documentation and website content
Understanding of mobile technology trends and tools a plus
Competence in: Dreamweaver, HTML, web publishing, Perseus / Vovici (forms / surveys) or Qualtrics, project management processes
Must be able to translate business requirements into technical solution implementations
Coordinates with and provides guidance to other staff/departments to carry out communications, web content and functionality of projects
Must work as a team member with AutoZoners from all departments and levels within the organization; work may require providing advice to others on specific problems or general policies
Occasional travel may be required #LI-BP
