This is a Sodexo Resource General Manager 3, Food opportunity to support Senior Living accounts in the Central Pennsylvania region. This General Manager will initially be supporting our food service operations at an upscale continuing care retirement community located in State College, Pennsylvania. Food service operations at this facility include a fine dining restaurant, bistro and cafe. This position will fill in for managers at other accounts in the region as needed. The successful candidate must be willing and able to travel throughout the district with some overnight travel.
This is an exceptional career opportunity with the possibility of moving into a permanent role within the district. As a Resource Manager, the selected candidate will be eligible to post to permanent Sodexo positions.
The ideal candidate will have:
prior food service management experience at a director/general manager level; ideally with retirement communities / campus dining / corporate dining / restaurants;
a strong culinary background and exceptional hospitality skills;
strong leadership skills with the ability to train and mentor staff;
a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance;
a work history demonstrating strong leadership and hospitality skills and the ability to work collaboratively;
the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;
the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and
working knowledge of Food Management Systems and proficient in computer skills.
