The Junior Sales Representative is an entry-level position that has the opportunity to develop into a Sales Representative. Under the training and guidance of a Sales Representative, this position learns and supports the process of generating leads, qualifying potential customers, closing sales, constructing and submitting bids, and initiating and completing client projects.
Sales & Customer Service Activities
Networks extensively for leads (business groups, real estate brokers, A&D community, local community organizations, industry organizations).
Researches for leads through business journals, newspapers, industry periodicals and publications, internet; initiates and participates in dealership lead generation programs.
Builds and maintains positive relationships with clients, internal departments, manufacturer representatives, and project partners.
Provides sales and product expertise for account maintenance activity; engages with Sales Representatives to support customers, offering a seamless transition through the sales processes for a better customer experience.
Ensures all project folders and paperwork are completed for initiating a project.
Tracks project status from point of sale to final walkthrough, addressing all issues and bottlenecks as they arise.
Develops, initiates, and drives bid process to successful submission, ensuring all team members complete their tasks in a timely and accurate fashion.
Develops professional-looking presentations, quotes, budgets, and other documents for clients as part of the sales process.
Ensures accurate orders and specifications, provides complete customer and work order information, and obtains all necessary signed documents to create a responsible close of sale.
Is available, responsive, and timely to customer inquiries, requests for information and/or quotations, and problem resolution.
Provides frequent and regular follow-up contact with customer regarding after-sale services and information, including customer satisfaction.
Conducts a professional, cooperative interface with the customer, the customer’s employees, and the customer’s third-party consultants/subcontractors.
Ensures the customer gets frequent and regular reports on order status, project progress and overall customer activity status.
Dealership & Product Knowledge Expectations
Learns the dealership’s product lines—product features, application, technical capabilities, and specifications.
Learns contract furniture management at dealer level—account servicing, project management, order preparation, order management, manufacturer interface, delivery, and installation— including sale’s role in those processes and procedures.
Learns how to function as the customer advocate for internal order fulfillment performance and service products.
Learns office environment issues (ergonomics, technology integration and use, office productivity, etc.) and general business trends.

Education, Experience & Other Requirements
Associate's Degree or two years of related experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience) required; Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and reliable transportation required.
Able and willing to travel.
