CCLynch represents the most prominent water quality instrumentation manufactures along the gulf coast region (Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and panhandle of Florida). In addition, CCLynch's Service Department provides top tier field services for all instrumentation owned by or sold to our customers.
The CCLynch is not only an instrumentation sales company; it also has a growing Field Service Department providing world class field services to our customers. From installation of EPA required instrumentation to Calibration of existing meters, our field service technicians keep our customers in compliance. CCLynch currently has technicians in Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Dallas, and Houston. Service technicians report to the Service Director and are trained by staff technicians with over 30 years’ experience.
Summary
This position is a regional account manager for central Texas water and wastewater industries and municipalities. This position will be responsible for the central Texas region (i.e. 3-hour radius of San Marcos). This position is comprised of 2 main responsibilities; Account Manager and Field Service Tech.
1. Field service technicians interact with existing and prospective customers to troubleshoot meters, perform routine maintenance, resolve meter issues, repair meters, recommend replacement meters, install/startup new meters, and calibrate instruments.
2. Account management involves evaluating new applications for instrumentation, new customer development, customizing instrumentation, creating cost estimates, and responding to customer needs.
This position interacts with a variety of customers in the drinking water/wastewater and environmental field (i.e. college professors, environmental researchers, water/wastewater operators/technicians, industrial plant environmental professionals, state and local regulators, engineers, etc.)
Duties and Responsibilities
- Management of accounts for service and sales needs, equipment needs, consultation, equipment issue resolution, pricing, specifications, and CRM documentation
- Sales of instrumentation to plant operators and engineers.
- Installation and initial programming of new instrumentation sold to or purchased by customers.
- Routine maintenance of instrumentation as per manufacturers recommendations
- Instrument calibration using proven techniques and industry standards
- Troubleshooting instrumentation and correcting issues in the field
- Inspect, measure and test instrumentation and components for proper operation
- Gather instrument data and evaluate.
- Record tasks preformed on electronic field data sheets
- Prospect for new service applications
- Maintain customer database with current information. Salesforce CRM is used for contact management.
- Required Skills
- 1 year experience within the water/wastewater industry.
- Organization and self motivation
- Basic sales skills and ability to learn instrumentation.
- A basic knowledge of instrumentation/electricity is preferred. Electrical situations are basic in nature and do not require high voltage or board level troubleshooting.
- Instrument level skills like voltmeter operation, basic instrument wiring, meter program logic
- Manual mechanical skills like lifting, digging, conduit routing, drilling, component replacement, use of hand tools, etc.
- Basic knowledge of general on the job safety
- Self-motivation, self-discipline, and organizational skills
- Good communication and general customer relation skills
- Ability to make your own schedule based on customer needs.

- Clean driving record and no criminal history. All employees are subject to drug testing (pre-employment, post-accident, and random)
- Field work involves many different environmental conditions (cold, heat, indoors and outdoors) and at customer locations such as Water/Wastewater plants, Industrial plants, roadsides, and general outdoors.
- Travel within the central Texas area is required with some out of area travel necessary for training and/or assisting other techs.
- Ability to spend very limited amounts of time in an office setting. Most of the time is spent out in the field, interacting with customers or driving to next location.
