Rosetta Stone is seeking a Portfolio and Program Management Analyst Intern for the summer 2018 to support the enterprise PMO. As an intern, you’ll receive the opportunity to learn more about project management methodologies and tools, analyze business processes, build professional relationships, and optimize and document PMO processes for communication to the organization.
Candidate must be located in the greater D.C. area.
An intern should expect to own the following roles and responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to the department and project teams, including scheduling and coordinating meetings, generating meeting minutes and action item lists
Participate in the development of portfolio and program management processes, procedures, and standards
Support effort to track and evaluate portfolio progress and status (i.e. resource requirement adjustments) against planned outcomes and performance goals
Support efforts to mature internal investment decisions with data
Provide reporting that will inform prioritizes enterprise IT needs based on alignments of business drivers and IT strategic roadmap
Conduct PMO and Program Assessments & develop post implementation reviews
Identify business process improvement options for monitoring projects
Applicant must be currently enrolled in collegiate coursework at an accredited university or recent grad.
Displays good written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrates strong computer skills including a good working knowledge of MS Office, Visio, Confluence, Jira or other tools
Bachelor’s Degree (or in the process of completing a degree) in Business, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, and/or knowledge of PMI, Agile (SCRUM, Kanban, Lean, etc.) and other PM methodologies
Entry level role. Basic skills with moderate level of proficiency. Generally, performs single-function tasks that tend to be of small to moderate size and scope. Works under close supervision with limited latitude for independent judgment. Consults with senior peers on non-complex projects to learn through experience. Typically, does not require prior related experience.
