Material Program Manager for the Integrated Defense Systems Mission Sensors and Systems Business Area.
The Material Program Manager (MPM) is a strong leader with demonstrated project management skills. The candidate for this position will be accountable for Supply Chain Activities supporting the development and Production of the AN/TPY-2 Radar in the Missile Defense Portfolio. This individual must be a self-starter, capable of supporting and executing organizational and program objectives, and must be able to successfully interface with all levels of internal management, including supplier management. This roles responsibility will include leading supply chain activities related to hardware delivery, particularly focused on electronics manufacturing. You will have accountability for supplier performance, subcontract management, proposal development, and budget ownership. This position could be a G09/G10 based upon the successful candidate’s qualifications
Position to be located in Woburn, MA
Specific Responsibilities include:
Lead all supply chain activities supporting manufacturing of the AN/TPY-2 radar, most notably on the AEU5 task order on the Radar Development Contract and other task orders as required
Develop and communicate global supply chain strategies in alignment with the goals of the business and the supply chain organization
Supporting planning, execution and reporting of material and labor budgets, sales, and contributing to monthly LRE and quarterly EAC inputs
Serving as a key contributor in a Cross Business Team environment
Update and execute a Material Program Plan in support of the AEU5 program
Work Package Manager supporting Control Account Manager (CAM)
Supporting leadership reviews, including Gate reviews, Monthly Operations Reviews, Customer and Program Reviews.
Execute make/buy/where process
Develop and execute risk/opportunity plans to meet program objectives
Balance strategic thinking with tactical application of strategies to programs
Collaborate with supply chain functions for support as needed.
Monitor performance metrics and proactively acts to address program and functional issues
The MPM is the single point of contact to management and to internal customers, including Program Office, Quality, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Contracts. They will represent the Supply Chain organization on policies, strategies and objectives, oversee all SCM activities needed to meet program requirements, and ensures a strong link within and between various Supply Chain functions, including Sourcing, Logistics, and Production Control.
Minimum 6 years of direct experience in Government and commercial defense markets
Experience working in the DoD Aerospace & Defense industry and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
Experience with Supply Chain processes and related systems
Program and/or functional experience managing material (SCM, Engineering Program/Integrated Program Team (IPT), Operations)
Experience with contract flow down requirements and how to filter those specific to Supply Chain.
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project)
Desire to coach/mentor teammates on GSCM best practices
Ability to convert business area and customer requirements into executable strategies.
IDS Supply Chain/MPM experience (including IDS MPM Certification)
Ability to obtain MPM Level 3 certification within 1 year of start
IDS PRISM experience
IDS Six Sigma Specialist, or ability to obtain within 1 year of start
Previous experience on an EV reportable program
Working knowledge of US Government acquisition laws and regulations
Fluency in IDS systems, process, and procedures.
Secret clearance or Ability to obtain within 1 year
Required Education (including Major):
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Management, Supply Chain or in a related field
