Work you’ll do

Support Human Capital & Benefits projects for government / public services organizations
Identify and validate underlying pension plan data elements required to calculate benefits in compliance with the plan document
Interpret pension plan provisions and perform all types of pension plan calculations, including retirement benefit estimates and statements
Support consultations on pension plan administration leading practices, including process and operational efficiencies
Respond to client inquiries, interact with client, pension plan administrators and actuaries to obtain information and resolve questions
Review work prepared by junior associates

6+ years of relevant industry and consulting experienced
Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills
Project management experience
Ability to perform pension plan data analysis and identify trends in large data sets
Ability to apply data analysis results to development of solutions and recommendations
Strong critical thinking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently and work collaboratively

Strong attention to detail, time management and follow through

Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint

Candidate must be eligible to obtain a US security clearance

Candidates will need to be open to travel up to 10%

Undergraduate degree (BA, BS) required

Experience working on multiemployer pension plan data and/or familiarity with multiemployer pension plans
Preferred Experience/Qualifications for this position include the following:

Experience working on multiemployer pension plan data and/or familiarity with multiemployer pension plans
Interest in obtaining and/or pursuing actuarial credentials such as ASA, EA, or FSA
