Job Summary:
Under limited supervision, manages the overall growth of the Branch or Financial Advisor’s practice. Uses extensive knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience to provide guidance to associates to resolve moderately complex issues, provide client service and manage projects. Directs the practice’s day-to-day operational functions, ensuring compliance with firm and regulatory policies and procedures. Assists with sourcing new Advisors from initial contact through transition to the branch. Acts in a professional sales and marketing capacity to help new and existing Financial Advisors meet sales goals. Maintains extensive contact with internal and external customers to establish and maintain networking relationships that lead to creating new business.
This role is approved for teams with production of at least $3,000,000.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to monitor and control expenses in order to facilitate revenue growth for the practice, improve productivity, realize operational efficiencies and address the competitive landscape.
- Lead delivery of the client experience by managing administrative procedures as well as directing and coordinating client requests.
- Work directly with home office personnel to coordinate branch-home office workflow.
- Research and resolve complex problems related to client accounts and inquiries.
- May review daily work of practice team’s support staff. Evaluate support staff workload to determine any necessary assignment or workflow changes.
- Plan and coordinate special projects for practice, including events for clients and prospects.
- Assess training needs, identify industry-developed training programs and coordinate training implementation.
- Assist with training Financial Advisors on the latest platform and product enhancements, including new software, websites and other tools and resources.
- Educate Financial Advisors on the benefits of products and services offered for their clients.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external business partners.
- Source and develop new Financial Advisor affiliations to achieve branch recruiting goals.
- Establish relationships with prospective Advisors, sharing information regarding the Raymond James and Associates platform.
- Maintain a prospect database, gathering information and data on prospects to determine suitability during the branch recruiting process.
- Participate in conference calls and meetings with prospects to understand their business and product mix. Address issues, interests and concerns during such meetings.
- Prepare payout analyses based on prospect’s production and mix of business. Generate proposals for prospects.
- Oversee the transition process for internal transfers or new affiliates to ensure a professional recruiting process from initial contact through transition to the branch. Ensure every step of the onboarding process is executed properly.
- Partner with home office departments to leverage product sales and generate new business opportunities for Financial Advisors.
- Respond to requests from Financial Advisors regarding product sales.
- Create business development strategies.
- Maintain and expand referral sources, including coordinating target marketing campaigns.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of team and branch market strategy.
- Comprehensive understanding of company policies and procedures, as well as industry rules and regulations.
- Investment concepts, practices and procedures used in the securities industry.
- Concepts, practices and procedures of business development in a financial services environment.
- Financial markets and products.
- Sourcing and developing prospects, responding to inquiries, and turning them into sales opportunities.
- Effective questioning and listening techniques.
- Organizational and time management sufficient to prioritize workload, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications to produce correspondence, reports, electronic communication, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Use oral and written communication skills to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and external clients.
- Provide and lead others to provide a high level of customer service in a calm, courteous and professional manner.
- Utilize tact and diplomacy to handle customers in a deadline-driven environment.
- Project a professional appearance and demeanor while working with clients.
- Maintain currency in investment advisor and financial planner services and products.
- Work independently as well as within a team, under minimal supervision.
Educational/Previous Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field and a minimum of three (3) years of experience in the financial services industry.

- An equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training as approved by Human Resources.
Licenses/Certifications:
- SIE required provided that an exemption or grandfathering cannot be applied.
- Series 63, 65 and/or 66 as required by state.
- Ability to obtain additional securities and advisory state registrations if required by state.
