Job description & Responsibilities:
Discuss with customers, analyze, understand and document requirements.

Involvement in designing and coding software components.

Developing and testing multiple forms of test cases before and after delivery to the client.

Coordinate with various teams to resolve incidents on priority. Acknowledge and update stakeholders based on progress of resolution.

Coordinating with clients users and performing the requirements analysis.

Preparing workflows and mapping client business processes.

Design and develop database components such as stored procedures, functions, triggers, etc.

Converting the requirements into small programming specifications and coordinating with programmers for application development.

Project status reporting to the stakeholders.

Supervise, trains and mentor junior level programmers and new team members to bring them up to speed.

Required Skill Set:
Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 4-5 years of web development experience.

Web services frameworks and related technologies J2EE, Spring Boot, JSP, Struts.

Relational database development and related technologies (Preferably Oracle PL SQL).

Experience in working agile development environment, distributed version control. Knowledge of these or similar tools - RALLY, Github/SVN, Jenkins, Autosys/Scheduling with Cron in Linux.

Good communication skills.

Must work on Level 2 Java based app tickets – L2 support and spend 30% time on Java development.

Need to support outage on weekends or during a P1 . Able to start and stop jobs at any given point of time.

Must have the ability to conduct/participate KT sessions, to onboard new apps to the portfolio.

Must have the ability to work with Command Center to bring back the apps up when there is an app unavailability.

Must have the ability to work with cross functional team like Web, Database, LDAP, SSO, Unix, Firewall, VDC team if any app is down and able to bring it back up.

Must have the ability to cross train team within the group.

Must have the flexibility to work with US and global team.

Requirements:
Should be an US national to work on Aviation Export Control activities.

Proven working experience in Application and Service support for about 3-5 yrs.

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in computer science or a related field.

Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem solving skills. Change management process knowledge.

Strong skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen.

Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web applications.

Candidates should be flexible / willing to work across this delivery landscape which includes and not limited to Agile Applications Development, Support and Deployment.

Qualifications

Responsible for programming and software development using various programming languages and related tools and frameworks, reviewing code written by other programmers, requirement gathering, bug fixing, testing, documenting and implementing software systems. Experienced programmers are also responsible for interpreting architecture and design, code reviews, mentoring, guiding and monitoring programmers, ensuring adherence to programming and documentation policies, software development, testing and release.

Required Skills and Experience:
You provide application software development services or technical support typically in a defined project.

  • Qualifications: 1-4 years experience, Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Develops program logic for new applications or analyzes and modifies logic in existing applications
  • Codes, tests, debugs, documents, implements and maintains software applications
  • Analyzes requirements, and maintains, tests and integrates application components
  • Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented
  • Should have progressing skills in Software Engineering Techniques, Software Engineering Architecture, Software Engineering Lifecycle and Data Management.
  • Should have baseline skills on Business Analysis, Business Knowledge, Software Engineering Leadership, Architecture Knowledge and Technical Solution Design.
