The experienced WordPress Developer holds a key role on our small yet mighty web services team. This highly skilled individual will work virtually, but closely with other creative team members (think fun family) and clients to create professional, functional, engaging online experiences for both web services clients and the occasional internal project.

Senior Web Developer responsibilities include leading a team of junior developers, refining website specifications and resolving technical issues. To be successful in this role, you should have extensive experience building web pages from scratch and in-depth knowledge of the following programming languages: Javascript and PHP as well as being fluent in front-end tools like Sass and Gulp.

You’ll have the freedom to set your hours although ideal availability is 9 - 5 Eastern time. You can work in your favorite set of pjs or athleisure attire, but still feel like you have access and resources as if you were right in our office. We promise to make you feel like a full-fledged family member - from anywhere in the continental US! Key Roles and Responsibilities

Building custom WordPress websites based on client needs and strategy. This includes converting website PSD designs into functional front-end code using clean, efficient and modern coding practices across all projects.
Integrating plugins, list-building tools, and e-commerce extensions into WordPress.
Designing and developing alternate mobile versions or responsive designs of existing client sites and online stores.
Work directly with clients to collaborate, troubleshoot, and teach them how to use the amazing website we’ve built for them.


Professional Requirements - You absolutely need these to join the team

Well-versed in WordPress configuration, custom theme development and content editing.
Website design experience preferred
Familiarity with Genesis framework will make you look like a shining star.
Managing DNS records and installing SSL certificates when launching a site.
Deep knowledge and understanding of HTML5, CSS3, PHP and Javascript/jQuery.
CSS pre-processors such as LESS, or Sass would be ideal. Tools like Gulp earn even more bonus points.
Basic understanding on how to build accessible websites.
Familiar with WordPress Gutenberg editor, WooCommerce, Beaver Builder and ACF Pro.
3+ years agency experience (agency or in-house preferred)
A basic understanding of automated marketing platforms and being able to integrate forms and other basic elements as needed.
Understanding of SEO best practices
Good written and verbal communication
