Responsible for the overall visual brand of M-NCPPC, Department of Parks and Recreation. Plans, produces, and oversees all aspects of the graphic production process, implementation, and processes for the Graphic Design team. Provide timely, consistent, and high-quality design work as requested by internal and external customers.

Examples of Important Duties
Manage a team of graphic designers and visual image personnel
Manage multiple competing priorities
Provide exceptional quality control and staff discipline to ensure high production standards
Provide recommendations to in house stakeholders and best methods for job completion
Proactively investigate new materials and printing processes and integrate them into corporate strategy and workflow as needed
Work directly with the procurement and inventory staff for daily/weekly/monthly material needs
Maintain design and production standards
Manage outsource graphic vendors based on specialty needs or production demands
Manage departmental workflow, RFP process, approval process, creation and delivery of production ready files
Develop and manage the departmental operating budget
Bachelor's degree in graphic design, graphic, studio or commercial art or related subjects; and
Four years of work experience as a Graphic Design Artist, including a minimum of one year experience leading and directing graphics design staff; or,
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid driver's license in accordance with both State and Commission rules and regulations. Driver's licenses must be unencumbered by restrictions, revocations, suspensions, or points that could limit the employee's ability to drive Commission vehicles or perform driving duties required of their position
