The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Personnel Systems Manager (PSM) and direct the management of the Personnel Data System (PDS)
Provide military personnel advisory services to commanders and staff for Personnel Data System (PDS)
Ensure accuracy of Personnel Data system and perform functional review of data.
Develop policies and procedures governing administration of PDS and programs
Ensure programs are managed in compliance with applicable directives through periodic self-inspection
Occasional travel - Incumbent may be required to fly in a military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary/permanent duty assignments

Required to meet and maintain Air Force Reserve requirements. Incumbent's regular assignments are primarily ART duties: however, the incumbent may be assigned some non-ART duties, generally not to exceed 30 percent of total responsibilities
Position require a background security investigation to determine suitability for employment and/or a security clearance
You must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized work experience equivalent to GS-09 grade level, qualifying pay band or other pay systems, in the Federal service which has given the particular knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform the duties of Human Resources Specialist, (Military-Information Systems), GS-0201-11. Experience which provides a thorough knowledge of concepts, principles, and techniques of various functional areas of military and civilian personnel programs in order to monitor and query the personnel automated systems. (To be creditable, specialized experience must meet the above quality level requirements).
EDUCATION: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your official transcripts.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of the requirements, procedures and program objectives in all areas of military personnel operations and administration.
Ability to apply the knowledge of military personnel functions toward the management of data systems.
Comprehensive technical knowledge of all facets of military personnel operations systems.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE : Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
