Position Summary: A carpenter apprentice is responsible for assisting in maintenance and construction related works. Carpenter apprentices work under skilled carpenters and follow all safety regulations while completing tasks.
Responsibilities:
· Perform duties such as carpentry, millwork, drywall, doors, hardware, and acoustical ceilings.
· Operate drills, screw guns, skill saws, chop saws, man lifts, and other equipment as needed
· Keep work area clean and well organized.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Previous experience or exposure in the construction industry preferred.
· Understanding of construction safety.
· Communication skills.
· Ability to follow directions.
· Ability to manage time, meet deadlines and efficiently execute all the tasks assigned by the carpenter.
· Strong work ethic.
· Must be able to work with others as part of a team.
Education Level:
· Working towards high school diploma/GED.
· Enrollment in an apprenticeship program will be a hiring requirement.
Environment: Outdoor job sites.
Physical Demands:
· Walking, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 45 lbs.
· Ability to work during the cold and hot seasons.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
