Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Pulmonary Function Technologist / NYU Langone FGP Advanced Pulmonary Diagnostic.
In this role, the successful candidate performs Pulmonary Function testing which includes Lung Volumes, Spirometries, and Diffusion Capacity. Perform Methacholine Challenges as required. Responsible for performing daily quality assurance on the equipment to insure the quality and validity of the tests performed.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify, you must have a Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy, Commission on Accreditation in Respiratory Care Education (CoARC) approved RT program. American Medical Association approved Respiratory Therapy Program is required. Current and valid New York State Respiratory Therapist (RTT) License or Respiratory therapy Technician License is required. Current registration from National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) is required. Excellent communication (both oral and written), customer service, and interpersonal skills is required. Basic computer skills is required. Understands admitting protocols for outpatients is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
1 - 2 years Pulmonary Function Testing experience.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $52,815.61 - $88,026.03 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
