Title: Founding Regional Manager

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Organization: Enriched Schools

Company Description

Enriched Schools is national movement committed to reimagining how communities and schools come together in order to maximize student success.

Company Mission and Background

Enriched connects great people to great schools. We are on a mission to eliminate the loss of student learning due to teacher absence, and we do so by tapping into the power of community. We believe that the “sub” day is an opportunity to ignite passions in kids and push learning forward, not leave students (or teachers) 2 steps behind. Founded by a former teacher and TFA alumna in New Orleans, Enriched has grown to become a trusted partner for charter schools across 6 cities seeking to provide systems of excellence, support and sustainability for their staff.

Position Summary

Enriched is seeking a highly motivated self-starter to launch, build and grow a local chapter of Enriched Schools. This education entrepreneur will be responsible for all aspects of the local program and operations, including recruitment, vetting and on-boarding of a professional cohort of local guest educators (substitute teachers) who bring their experience in high performing urban schools and deep passion for educational equity to their part-time (“guest”) teaching work, as well as the recruitment, on-boarding and service of a founding set of partner school sites, for whom Enriched will provide with A+ level customer service, including the rapid-fire and highly effective matching of quality talent to any/all partner staffing needs, whether for last minute subs, part-time coaches, mid-year hires, full-time teachers, or whatever else may arise. Core buckets:

  • Talent Recruitment: sourcing, identifying and cultivating relationships with the highest caliber guest educators across the Philadelphia area, using a creative, efficient and effective combination of hands-on strategies, resulting in fast, tangible growth in Philadelphia guest educator talent pool in both quantity and quality.
  • Partner Relations: managing A+ level relationships with each and every potential school partner across the region, with fast, nuanced follow up including in-person visits, phone, text and email, exceptional customer service and above-and-beyond support to meet all flexible staffing needs and build partnerships grounded in trust, integrity and exceptional outcomes for student learning and staff satisfaction.
  • Additional responsibilities include candidate screening, talent management (scheduling and conducting phone interviews, ensuring timely completion of all screening steps, organizing and leading community events) and establishing regional community partnerships.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate is an entrepreneurial leader who has a track record of accomplishment and areputation for execution in high-pressure, fast-paced, minimally-resourced environments. S/he is a passionate communicator who inspires everyone they come across to champion their vision. They have worked in highperforming schools and are deeply passionate about improving and reimagining our educational system so all kids (and teachers) can thrive. S/he has a strong independent drive and disciplined work ethic that allows them to set and exceed goals with minimal external guidance or resources, along with a desire to listen deeply, learn from colleagues, peers and supervisors, and grow on the job. Core traits:

  • Relentless Problem Solver: You have not seen a challenge you could not solve or a wall you could not get through/around/over. You get things done. You make orange juice out of Meyer’s lemons.
  • Extraordinary Communicator: You speak, write, text, tweet, orate with authenticity, clarity and nuance. You build relationships quickly while gathering key information. When you talk, people listen. And follow.
  • Passionate Educator: You believe educational inequity is the civil rights issue of our time. You love all children and believe they deserve the best opportunities for life and learning. You know what a good school looks like and you want to be a part of making the system better.

This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to serve as a visible and influential leader at a rapidly growing movement that is transforming the way substitute staffing is delivered and perceived across the country.
