Entry-Level Environmental Analyst

Eastern Research Group, Inc. - Chantilly, VA

ERG is seeking entry-level scientists or engineers with degrees in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Information Technology, or other related degrees. The position is located at ERG’s Chantilly, VA office and will support EPA and other federal clients. Specific duties include:
Interpret and visualize environmental data sets using spreadsheets and database software.
Perform web application testing and quality assurance of user interface and data results.
Develop software design and testing documentation for web applications with scientific purposes.
Maintain websites and upload new content.
Develop training materials about the environmental data and web applications.
Collaborate with a team while working independently on concurrent tasks.
Demonstrate credibility and build rapport with coworkers, clients, and stakeholders.
Serve as a point of contact between the client and end users of the web applications.

Candidates must have:
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Information Technology, or a related degree.
Minimum GPA of 3.0 (college transcripts required).
1 to 5 years of experience.
Strong plain language writing skills.
Competence using spreadsheet and database software.
Interest in website design, testing, documentation, and/or programming.
Effective time management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects in a dynamic work environment.

Ideal candidates will have:
Experience with Agile/Scrum software development.
Experience with SQL and/or programming in Python or related languages.
