Responsible for managing the lifecycle of credit risk strategies/policies, including developing and implementing credit risk strategies and policies. The role translates project objectives into analytical framework, identifying the requisite data and quantitative tools, defining business metrics to access the credit policies in support of business strategy. The position identifies opportunities for improvement in credit risk criteria and develops and implements these across a range of segments and products establishing appropriate profitability trade-offs using various tools to maximize business return on the business exposure, ensuring that key business factors are understood and measured (e.g., impact on usage, revenue and risk). Works under minimal supervision.
Creates and runs an effective range of test and control programs in a fully controlled environment in support of targeting and strategy enhancement.
Monitors performance trends to anticipate necessary adjustments to strategies. Completes business modifications as appropriate based on findings of analysis.
Drives value-based principles into the day-to-day credit risk activities to maximize profit for the business overall.
Actively participates in development of new card products or features to support Risk goals.
Initiates, develops, and monitors acquisition risk strategies and policies for prime card underwriting.
Establishes appropriate profitability trade-offs, using various tools to maximize business return on the business exposure ensuring that key business factors are understood and measured (e.g., impact on usage, revenue, and risk).
Develops an account-level decision framework to support business strategies working closely with a broad range of business partners. Identifies and explores new approaches and data sources to support improvements to existing and new programs.
At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:
Master’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Econometrics
4+ years of experience in Analytics, Consulting, Financial Services, or related field
In lieu of a Master’s Degree, 4+ years of experience in Credit Risk/Credit Card Analytics with a Bachelor’s degree

6+ years of experience in Credit Risk Management
