The HR Representative is responsible for leading and executing the HR mission at the company's designated manufacturing site. This HR generalist role encompasses all aspects of HR including, but not limited to, recruiting & hiring, training, benefits administration, legal compliance, safety, project management and employee advocacy/employee relations. The HR Rep works closely with the site Operations Manager to provide counsel and guidance regarding HR-related issues, questions, and concerns while also ensuring the HR function is meeting the demands of the business. The HR Rep will develop and maintain credibility, respect and rapport with all employees.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead the HR efforts at the manufacturing facility
Leads overall organization of Human Resource programs within the assigned function, including but not limited to, EEO, unemployment, retention, termination, turnover, and employee issues
Provide first line HR advice to all exempt & nonexempt employees
Initiate personnel actions, posting, hiring, promotions, reclassifications and terminations in our HRIS system (ADP WorkforceNow).
Manage HR daily processes including: time card administration, coordinate with hiring managers on recruiting, testing, interviewing & selection process, ensure legal compliance regarding applicant tracking, provide reporting for all FMLA, Worker's Compensation, Personal Leave of Absences, and provide administrative support for all HR events
Skills, Training or Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related degree preferred
2-5 years of professional experience in Human Resources
Demonstrated experience with benefits and compensation administration, labor law, and mastery of regulations such as FLSA, ADA, FMLA, etc.
Demonstrated experience managing projects and problem solving
Effective and deliberate communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to maintain confidentiality and good judgment when handling sensitive information
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. )
Experience with ADP WorkforceNow or other HRIS, ADP Recruiting Management and Cornerstone On-Demand Learning Management System preferred
Demonstrated ability to effectively multi-task with a strong sense of urgency
Ability to deal with ambiguity and change in a dynamic business environment
Experience with conflict management and demonstrated mediation skills
Demonstrated ability to develop strong consulting relationships and influence business leaders through coaching and partnerships
