Role and Responsibilities
In collaboration with Client, the National Account Executive (NAE will lead the sales of Samsung major home appliances into the home building industry along with relationship development of Client leadership. This relationship development accountability includes corporate, key field management and Client stores.
Jointly with Client leadership, the position will develop new business development strategies targeting selected multi-family developers, general contractors, property owners and management companies, single-family builders and remodeling companies. It also includes understanding the contract expiration dates of appliance contracts with targeted accounts and enabling Samsung the opportunities to be included in Request for Proposals (RFPs) discussions for Samsung products.
The position will engage with Client Pro management to “operationalize” Samsung’s builder business in their information systems and with supplier compliance requirements. This will include but is not limited to: organizing product training, maintaining/updating model #’s, pricing, quotes, sales programs and facilitating after-sale service if required.
This person will be available to travel to the corporate offices of targeted accounts wherever they are located to build relationships with the corporate team along with key regional management throughout the US. He/she will need to understand the contract end dates and develop time lines to make sure Samsung is part of quoting process. He/she will also understand any product gaps needed and report those into the product team at Samsung.
Additionally, this position will engage with Samsung’s Client Sales team and the Client Merchandising departments to drive awareness and alignment to Client Pro strategies, goals and objectives. He/she will also be in support of the Client Pro field personnel as it relates to securing contracts and business. This position will support Client B2B marketing events in the field and be active in supporting these marketing endeavors.
This person will report to the Vice President, Premium & Builder Brands, and partner with the National Sales Director and Regional Sales Managers -Builder Channel to build Samsung awareness with potential customers and develop a strategy to make sure Samsung is top of mind. When appropriate, he/she will also partner with the Samsung Regional Sales Managers and Account Managers in the marketplace to implement a transition/integration strategy when Samsung wins contracts.
Skills and Qualifications
Leadership for relationship development with multi-family developers, general contractors, property owners and management companies, single-family builders and remodeling companies.
Accountable for strategic understanding of each targeted account and their appliance contracts. Knowledge of RFP dates and coordination of submitting RFPs. Create synergies between Client, targeted accounts and Samsung’s builder sales organization.
Enable on-going negotiating skills development and education.
Understand product gaps and communicate those to product development.
Create and lead sales presentations to targeted accounts.
Converts business strategy into execution plans and accountabilities with Samsung Regional Sales Manager and Account Managers.

Bachelor Degree and or equivalent experience. MBA is a plus.
