Huitt-Zollars’ Fort Worth office has a full-time career opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer PE. The successful candidate will be a Texas state licensed Professional Engineer with at least 5 year's experience in the field of engineering related to mechanical building systems and infrastructure experience including mechanical HVAC, plumbing systems and/or architectural engineering. Perform mechanical building systems and infrastructure engineering design functions on a variety of large public and private developments
Review and understand LEED requirements and verify they are incorporated into the design/construction
Assist Project Managers with preparation of pertinent correspondence reports and A/E contract criteria
Review technical aspects of major design, construction, renovation and/or alterations
Licensed PE in the state of Texas
Minimum 5 years of related experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Understanding of LEED requirements
Knowledge of Unified Facilities Criteria, applicable building codes and standards for construction, specifically for mechanical and plumbing codes
Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit BIM computer aided design programs
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook
