Job Summary: This non-exempt position is responsible for assisting in the daily functions of the accounting operations of the company. This role will partner with team members from accounting and other departments to drive continuous improvement across the Company. The right candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate high energy and a positive attitude.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist with the daily operations in Accounting, Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivables.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial operations and reporting.
  • Responsible for assisting in the preparation of 1099’s.
  • Provide Management updates on key issues.
  • Utilizing on-line systems (Star-to-Star, Paylease, Union Bank) as well as PC-based computer systems (Jenark, Microsoft Office) essential for day-to-day tasks of operations staff.
  • Additional duties as needed and assigned.
  • Answer all phone calls, emails and inquiries in a timely and efficient manner
  • Document all customer correspondence for access by manager and other staff
  • Streamline inquiries to community association managers as well as upper level management when necessary
  • Protect the confidential nature of the work as appropriate
  • Stay informed of new trends and innovations in community management through professional organizations, such as CAI trade shows, seminars, webinars, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Management Team

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in similar accounting positions is required.
  • Excellent communication and human relations skills
  • Ability to organize complex issues and complete follow up tasks efficiently
  • Ability to keep upper level management and community association managers thoroughly informed regarding matters of interest in our client associations
  • Ability to perform as a team member in the completion of a variety of administrative tasks aimed at keeping our Association clients informed in a timely and accurate manner
