Position Summary

The Corporate Solutions Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst will test legacy Financial, Real Estate, and Legal applications as part of an ongoing effort to modernize business critical software as well as testing new cloud-based solutions to replace inadequate or deprecated systems. The QA Analyst is responsible for adhering to standardized QA policies, processes and documentation standards, participating in all aspects of project testing, overseeing IS QA test environments, providing technical guidance, and ensuring schedule adherence for assigned projects.

Job Duties/Essential Functions

Participates in requirements and use case reviews.
Provides justifiable estimates for QA resources and testing schedules.
Creates and gains project approval on project test plans.
Creates and/or oversees the creation and approval of project test cases, scripts and conditions.
Executes test cases and adheres to test plans and schedules.
Participates in the defect triage process.
Oversees or generates all QA-related documentation.
Ensures adherence to standardized QA policies, processes and documentation standards.
Helps to mentor and develop other members of the team on QA topics.
Stays up to date with source code, version management, and code deployment standards and utilizes this knowledge to ensure that QA processes and procedures for test environments are followed and that the integrity of the various environments are not compromised.

Experience, skills, education & licenses/certifications

Minimum 7 years of software quality assurance experience.
Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience using industry standard software QA tools, preferably HP-ALM.
Strong knowledge of SDLC and SQA methodology as well as experience testing on an Agile or DevOps teams.
Strong database skills.
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem solving skills.
Strong communication and leadership skills with ability to communicate with all levels of the organization from senior management to staff level.
Strong work ethic, positive attitude & excellent collaboration skills.

General understanding of retail industry and accounting processes.
General understanding and knowledge of SAP FICO, HCM or CRM.
Experience in testing iSeries financial applications.
Experience with database in Oracle or DB2 and the ability to write basic SQL queries.
Hands on experience in testing or configuration of SAP FICO, Shared Services Framework, and/or Vistex.
Knowledgeable in integration points between various SAP modules.
Experience working with and/or leading offshore testing teams.
Experience creating test automation scripts with C# and/or JavaScript or utilizing test automation tools.
Successful internal candidates will have spent one year or more on their current team.
