DMI is currently seeking to hire a Java Developer to support a Federal Government customers in the DC metro area. This programmer will provide Operations and Maintenance Support for an enterprise web-based system.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Participate in the design of software tools and subsystems to support reuse and domain analysis
Assist Application Engineers and Applications Programmer to interpret software requirements and design specifications to code and integrate and test software components
Responsible for creating maintainable, adaptable, scalable, defect-free code using software development best practices and coding standards (i.e. software reuse, refactoring, continuous integration, test automation, secure development, TDD, static code analysis, and peer/code review) leveraging java frameworks
Education and Years of Experience:
BS in Comp Science or equivalent
7+ years of hands-on experience in application programming with Java 8, Tomcat, Spring/Spring Cloud, PostgresSQL, Angular 2, and Confluence.
Excellent conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Solid background using Java framework such as Java/JEE, including JDBC, JMS, Servlets, JSF, and Portlet development
Experience developing SOAP and/or RESTful API's
High proficiency in Java v8 PostgreSQL, MS SQL, and Tomcat 8
Ability to excel in a fast paced and dynamic work environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience in PostgreSQL database development
Experience designing and implementing web services
Experience with Java, AngularJS, Bootstrap, HTML5, and CSS
