The IIS Whole Life Engineering Organization is currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support the Patriot and LTAMDS interactive training and maintenance programs. Primary responsibilities will be the design and development utilizing the Unreal Gaming engine of operational and maintenance training scenarios to support virtual interactive software applications.
This position will be responsible for a variety of tasks throughout the development lifecycle to aid in the design, integration, verification, test and sell-off of completed training materials and executables. Additional responsibilities will include the review of training material and 3D models against engineering data, schematics, and technical manuals to ensure accuracy across various configurations and fidelity to tactical systems.

The position will be an integral part of our collaborative environment, participating in agile development processes comprised of multi-disciplined teams. Candidates should be comfortable working independently as well as within a team, possess a willingness to learn organizational processes and procedures, and be willing to recommend improvements to both.
4 years’ relevant coding experience with Unreal Engine (UE4), C#, C++
Experience with 3DS Max, SVN, GIT Jira
Must be able to perform all aspects of the software development lifecycle to include requirements design, implementation, use case development, software development, testing and maintenance
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with Patriot Maintenance Software applications (PMET. PMT, MPT, PSL)
Experience working with Agile development methodologies, collaborative/scrum team environment
Ability to provide guidance, coaching, and training to other employees within the job area
Ability to read and understand technical drawings, schematic diagrams, and software requirements.
Understanding of the SE lifecycle and/or change management process (DOORs)
Ability to pursue information (“self-starter”)
Familiar with popular trends in video game design
Experience with the following software applications and tools; MS Sequel server database, Perforce, Rational ClearCase, iTracker (wSTR), WebSIR, DOORS (Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System)
US Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Required Education: BS in Engineering, Physics, Math or related discipline
Desired Education: BS in Game programming and development degree preferred
