Entry-Level Accountant I

Job Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the Accounting Manager or their designee, the Property Accountant / Staff Accountant I will manage income and expense activities, maintain account information and integrity, allocate and post transactions (including Journal entries); reconcile outstanding transactions and perform other accounting activities as directed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
  • Disburse income to internal and external clients on a weekly, biweekly, and or monthly basis
  • Monitor, analyze data, and resolve errors and or discrepancies found in accounting reports, invoice logs, and the accounting software
  • Prepare Vacation Rentals related statements and reports, analyze the data reported, and report findings to manager as instructed
  • Perform tasks and projects as instructed


  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Accounting/Finance or Business
  • 1-3 years' experience in an Accountant role; experience with Property Management Accounting would be helpful
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Deadline oriented, self starter, attention to detail, excellent communication skills
  • Experience with Propertyware, Great Plains, Deltek, Quickbooks, or accounting software preferred
