Job Title: Senior Vice President, Information Technology

Summary: This position is responsible to establish, plan, and administer the overall strategy of the Information Technology Department at TFCU. It requires a global perspective of the information technology environment, visionary thinking, a demonstrated ability to execute strategy, the ability to develop talent and to build effective relationships within and outside the organization.
Its scope includes analyzing the current and future needs of the operating departments, establishing strategies, policies, and goals, establishing innovative systems design and implementing emerging/existing applications to enhance the information processing environment. It also manages a group of exempt and non-exempt employees, and consultants directly and/or through subordinate managers. Nine positions report up through this position and it typically has a capital budget of between $1 to $2 million annually. This position is also part of the senior management team and participates in a broad scope of corporate decisions affecting the overall activities and programs of the credit union.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Formulate long-term strategic plans and communicate how IT can help transform the consumer banking business.
Plan, organize and oversee the acquisition and deployment of software application systems, computer hardware and related equipment and telecommunication systems. In particular, the use of data warehouses and data analytics.
Provide detailed Operations budget analysis, requirements and costs based on IT Operations staffing, expenses, and proposed project requirements; make sound purchase decisions; evaluate complex business proposals and communicate recommendations to senior management.
Manage the relationship and negotiate contracts with several data processing and telecommunications service providers.
Participate in industry partnerships and councils regarding innovation and FinTech initiatives.
In cooperation with the VP Administration and Compliance/CSO, develop business continuity and disaster recovery procedures along with a periodic test.
In cooperation with the Information Security Officer, ensure all appropriate data and physical security measures are in place and operational to protect all the credit unions informational assets. This includes maintenance, transportation, storage, and communication of records, files, and data for the communication and interconnection to remote databases.
Maintain a solid understanding of corporate policies, procedures, and guidelines relating to enterprise risk management, change management, incident management and information security.
Oversee and report on strategic technological activity to the Board of Directors and appropriate committees; develop recommendations. Serve as a key technological spokesperson to raise and create greater awareness of technology-related matters at all levels of the organization.
Responsible for the overall employment relationship including the development and training of all information technology employees.Develop the IT Operations team through the promotion of a positive environment and teamwork spirit, competence development - providing clear vision, issue resolution, motivation and mentoring
BSA Compliance: every employee is required to uphold the credit union’s compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering policies and procedures. Specific functions within TFCU will take into consideration the awareness of unusual or suspicious activity that is relevant to the department.
In addition to any other assigned training courses, online BSA and OFAC courses must be completed at least annually, as made available by the Training and/or Compliance Departments.
Maintains comprehensive knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act, Customer Identification Program, USA Patriot Act, OFAC, Fair Lending and Credit Card Act.
Comply with all TFCU policies and procedures to ensure compliance with such regulations.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or Management Information Systems or equivalent as a minimum.
15+ years’ experience working within a financial institution (Bank or Credit Union).
20+ years of information technology experience.
10+ years of leadership/management experience.
10+ years experience managing/operating a Data Center.
15+ years of IT infrastructure and Operations experience in a highly available, real-time, high volume financial transaction processing environment
10+ years of experience managing core data processing technologies and operations
10+ years of experience negotiating and managing large IT service providers (hardware, software, and telecommunications)
Strong interpersonal, communication, organization and presentation skills.
Experience interacting/presenting to Boards and committees
Strong Project Management knowledge and principles.
Strong knowledge of PC and Network Hardware and Software solutions.
Strong PC Office application knowledge.
Knowledge of database management systems, preferably relational.
Knowledge of artificial intelligence and applications within the financial services industry.
A proven record in technical problem resolution and systems integration.
Knowledge of Physical and System security requirements.
Knowledge and understanding of the Internet/Intranet and associated tools.
Ability to bring a strategic and creative vision to the team and company.
Experience implementing and managing virtualized environments.
Excellent management, leadership, and interpersonal skills are required.
Proven track record of leading, building and promoting team members.
Possess knowledge of the technical challenges that impact vendor relationships and contract terms.
Possess the ability to forecast and track budget expenditures.
