WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
The Marketing Specialist will play a key role in developing the marketing communications strategy and planning for a variety of major industry brands, including being responsible for introducing new branded product lines into the marketplace.
This dynamic, fast-paced position puts you at the center of defining the go-to-market strategy, execution plan and budget allocation. This position will lead a mix of external agencies and internal cross-functional teams – including media, web and creative teams – on direction and work closely with these experts to ensure programs and activities are on strategy, on brand, on budget and meet agreed-upon timelines. This role also requires excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate closely with product managers to develop comprehensive, best-in-class marketing plans. Additionally, you will:
Collaborate with Product Managers to define the go-to-market strategy for new product launches
Produce and maintain project briefs, marketing calendars, marketing budgets and ROI (return on investment) analyses
Lead weekly launch meetings with internal stakeholders to ensure activities are executed on time and to plan
Regularly propose and present plans to internal stakeholders, including executive audiences
Stay up to date on market shifts and understand how they impact strategy and execution
Audit the competition and identify opportunities to lead within the industry
WHAT WE SEEK
3+ years of experience in marketing communications
Strong communication, presentation, brief writing, and copy writing skills
Mature collaboration skills essential to lead cross functional teams, build consensus, and overcome objections
Ability to understand product, the target consumer, and the competitive landscape and craft unique multi-channel marketing strategies to reach them
Strong understanding of product positioning, messaging, retail, CRM, digital, media and how they all work together
Must be self-motivated, have high multi-tasking capacity, and thrive in a fast-paced environment with a drive for continuous improvement
Analytical mindset and the ability to crunch data to determine what worked, what didn’t, and how we improve.
Proactive, energetic, self-starter and enthusiastic mindset
Comfortable in dealing with ambiguity yet passionate about and constant improvement
Solve problems by anticipating obstacles and outlining backup plans well in advance
Strong attention to detail and follow through with little prompting from supervisor
Passion, creativity and a sense of humor is a must
BA/BS in marketing, communications, business, or related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education
