Position entails leading multiple crew members on survey projects. Person is responsible for collecting accurate and precise survey data that is reliable for design and construction activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Strong technical skills and supervisory skills required. This individual must begin to take on more office responsibilities such as calculations, crew scheduling, overseeing other crews, overall QMS responsibilities, estimates and understands project budgets, leads effective safety talks,
Plan the field activity to meet the needs of the client
Coordinate with office personnel on group assignments
Conduct QMS on survey activity for group including horizontal and vertical measurement accuracy,
Advanced understanding of coordinate geometry,
Must know survey nomenclature,
Thorough understanding of how to download or transfer files from the data collector,
Able to operate total stations and data collector; including calibration, and care of delicate and expensive equipment;
Intermediate gps/survey skills;
Must be able to occasionally work at heights in certain environmental conditions: wade through water; ride in a boat; swimming skills (preferred);
Ability to safely use hand tools, etc.
High School Diploma or Higher
Certified Survey Technician (CST) or Surveyor in Training (SIT) preferred
Must have valid driver's license and acceptable driving record for insurability purposes
3-5 years experience preferred
Ability to lead crews
Knowledge of survey equipment
Ability to QA/QC data
Advanced communication skills

Working in all weather conditions (extreme heat, cold, etc.); works with safety in mind, must be flexible with work hours and willingness to travel up to 100% during the week days and occasional weekend travel and/or work, able to do physically demanding work; ability to lift and carry between 25 and 50 lbs routinely; ability to walk for lengthy periods.
