Starting hourly wage: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

The Instructor assists in the development of an instructional program that will meet Department of Public Welfare guidelines, provides that instruction to Work Ready program participants, tracks pertinent data, and prepares reports as required.

Job Duties:
Assists the Program Director in developing a curriculum for teaching life skills, job readiness, customer service, and general office skills, including the use of computers.
Prepares training agendas appropriate to address the current needs of today’s job seekers including both hard and soft skills.
Assists in developing the employment and training portions of the participants’ service plans.
Oversees the purchase of training materials as needed.
Provides group instruction to program participants.
Maintains attendance records.
Maintains accurate, up-to-date case files in coordination with casework staff.
Provides prompt, accurate reporting of training information into the Commonwealth Workforce Development System (CWDS).
Establishes and maintains contact with program partners including, but not limited to, DPW, employers, and resource people in the community.
Prepares reports as required.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Small group facilitation experience required
Experience in job training and/or job coaching preferred
Advanced clerical and computer skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
