SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITY - Job Summary (general statement of purpose or objective of position)
This position is a member of the Decision Support team, which is dedicated to: identifying improvements in the financial performance of the Baptist Health system, maintaining a decision support/ cost accounting system, performing financial modeling, performing department and entity-level financial reviews, preparing a quarterly and long-term forecast, and labor management. This is a staff-level position that works closely with the VP of Finance, Decision Support Team Leadership, and other senior Finance positions. Must possess strong problem solving abilities, analytical skills, and a desire to learn. Knowledge of health care finance and reimbursement preferred. A high level of communication and technological skills is required as well as the ability to work both independently with minimal oversight and in teams with non-financial personnel.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - Knowledge, skills, abilities, license, registration, certification, education, and experience
Bachelors in Accounting/ Finance required. Strong Microsoft Office Suite and system analysis skills required. Ability to effectively interact with accountable cost center managers and Finance staff.
