Optician
We are a growing optometry practice in Westford looking to hire an experienced licensed optician. While the primary focus of this job will be on optical work, as a small firm we will require a small amount of support with administrative tasks (such as answering phones and checking patients in and out including taking payments when needed). The duties of this role include everything from helping a patient pick out a frame to dispensing the final product, ordering the glasses at the lab and billing vision insurance, maintaining the optical inventory and board management, frame buying with sales representatives and patient training for contact lens fittings.
We are seeking a team player with a professional and courteous attitude, who is mechanically inclined, for lens repairs and fittings, and technology savvy since we are completely on an EMR system. We pride ourselves on our client relations and seek someone with excellent customer service and communication skills. We would also prefer that you have a knowledge of Visionweb, vision eye care plans and billing, and HIPAA regulations.
We can offer a competitive hourly wage, a friendly work environment, and good hours. We do work Saturdays until noon, but no evenings. We offer 9 paid holidays, 2 weeks paid sick/vacation leave and a 401k.
