Museum Education and Heritage Education (2 Positions)
Develop/teach classes/workshops throughout the year for area youth.
Assist w/ planning/implementation of public programming initiatives including workshops, tours, & outreach programs.
Research/upgrade Landmark’s traveling trunk program.
Develop methods to evaluate public programming initiatives.
Write articles for the Landmark’s newsletter.
Assist w/ visitor services including answering phones, interacting w/ visitors, & gift shop operations.
Assist w/ other institution activities as needed
Exhibition Intern (1 Position)
Oversee exhibit development and installation of permanent and temporary exhibitions using museum accreditation standards.
Maintain exhibits on a daily basis, ensuring that all exhibits are clean and repaired to enhance the visitor's experience.
Assist with graphic design and installation of graphics. Assist with all aspects of exhibition design and installation including, gallery layout, display furniture, and additional exhibition elements.
Assist tradesman/carpenter, as needed, to help with the completion of exhibits.
Other Duties as Assigned
High school graduation or equivalent. No experience required.
Master's Degree of pursing Master's Degree in Museum Science and/or Heritage Management.
Understanding of and familiarity with informal education and interactive teaching theory and methods.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organization and research skills.
Ability to work simultaneously on multiple, diverse tasks, seeking help when needed.
Self-motivation to achieve goals and complete projects individually and with groups.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to deal effectively with people of varying levels of experience and expertise.
Computer proficiency: Mac and PC, Office 365, and knowledge of Filemaker Pro 11 a plus.

Minimum Hire Rate
Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as, the institutional pay plan. For additional information, please reference the institutional pay plan on the Human Resources webpage.
