The VISTA will create a comprehensive client resource guide, develop an electronic linkage agreement database, and facilitate new organization partnership development and events. These new resources will improve service provision and increase referral capacity, reduce negative client outcomes, and further integrate the local network of social service organizations. ···· The VISTA will serve as part of an intra-agency team studying and refining A Safe Haven Foundation’s model. The project is intended to identify and systematize best practices and update agency policies and procedures to reflect the most recent evidence-based recommendations for substance use social service care provision. This will allow ASHF to effectively scale its services and better serve homeless individuals in Chicago — particularly those at high-risk for opioid addiction — ultimately helping them transition out of poverty by creating greater access to treatment and other services.
