Walmart is seeking a talented individual to join the Strategic Partnerships team to develop our strategy, and business development activities with strategic partners like Google, Apple, Microsoft, Samsung and others. For this role, we are seeking a candidate with strong leadership potential, an ability to work across internal and external stakeholders and drive strategy formation, own executive presentation development and grow relationships with a key partner.

You will be responsible for critically evaluating and defining which strategic initiatives to pursue to enable new shopping experiences using emerging technologies. You will be part of a high-performance organization that is responsible for improving and inventing new ways to serve hundreds of millions of consumers that shop for their everyday needs from fresh food, household essentials, pharmacy and wellness and more.

To be successful in this role, you must be an excellent communicator (both written and verbal), highly motivated, equal parts left and right brain, effective working across multiple, cross-functional teams, and able to get things done quickly. The ability to synthesize multiple sources of information across consumer product, business & technology and translate them effectively into short, medium, & long-term roadmaps via analysis & prioritization is a must.

In this role, you will:
  • Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal, listening and presentation skills, as well as crisp oral and written communications.
  • Ability to build financial models and presentations that convey effective narrative, outline strategic tradeoffs and drive executive decision making.
  • Collaborate and drive internal & external stakeholders to consensus across strategy, engineering, reporting, finance, business development and partnerships.
  • Navigate complex business & technology relationships.
  • Build tools to inform business decisions based on data and metrics.
  • Gain broad and deep knowledge with technology, commerce and overall user experience.
Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects for Walmart.com Merchandising
Ensures business needs are being met
Oversees and implements the continuous development of financial and multi-channel integration strategies for a strategic business unit
Oversees the execution of financial plans and open-to-buy (OTB) forecasts for a strategic business unit
Oversees the execution of item-level replenishment within a strategic business unit
Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity
Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates

Minimum Qualifications

To be effective, you ideally have the following domain experience:
  • B.S. degree in business or a technical field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience at an investment bank or management consulting firm.
  • Distinctive problem-solving and data-driven analysis skills, combined with impeccable business judgment.
  • Experience in retail/eCommerce operations, building digital products or selling emerging technology products, software or services are a plus.
Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Top tier M.B.A. preferred.
