Our Seafood Distribution Center in Astoria OR needs a Filleter/Packer! We focus on getting quality and sustainable seafood to our local grocery stores and restaurants. We need your help to cut and prepare fish for our wonderful customers. We have a great customer base and we cut and fillet their fish to specifications and perfection. If you have cut meat; you can learn to cut fish! Pay starts at $20 per hour, depending on experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Cut fresh seafood to ensure maximum use of product as well as rotate the product daily to ensure maximum shelf-life.
- Record gross and net weight of items processed before and after cutting.
- Properly pick and pack fresh and frozen orders accurately by customer specifications
- Properly label boxes with customer name, route number, weights, and contents in each box
- Weigh product and/or count pieces before packing and record weights/counts with 100% accuracy
- Receive incoming product and records weight, number of boxes, species, counts, each, size
- Understand safety and manufacturing practices in the handling of food products
Requirements:
- Knife skills and fillet experience a plus!
- Proper handling of fish is required; we will teach you the techniques.
- Can work as a team
- Do not mind working in a cold and wet environment
- Can lift to 50 lbs.
- Do not mind the smell of fresh seafood
