International Business & Technical Consultants, Inc. Assignment Title: Training Specialist (Remote)

International Business & Technical Consultants, Inc. (IBTCI) was awarded the Performance Management and Support Program (PMSP) contract in January 2017. This Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract provides monitoring and evaluation services to the USAID Iraq Mission and is implemented by discrete task orders. IBTCI is seeking an experienced Training Specialist that will help IBTCI provide two upcoming trainings with USAID’s Iraq Mission and their Implementing Partners within Iraq. Training subjects include Collaborating, Learning, and Adapting (CLA) and GIS/GPS Mapping training as it relates to the USAID Iraq Mission staff and their IP’s. This is a short term, two month long part-time work, with an immediate start date, and with a maximum LOE of 5 days and a possible extension due to training and dates subject to change.
Essential Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:
Work closely with the training team, or COP or designee to ensure timely delivery of materials and attend all project meetings (CLA and or GIS/GPS Mapping) and provide case studies/PowerPoint presentations within the context of implementation and field work.
Provide training and case study examples in Collaborating, Learning, and Adapting to host country nationals in a virtual training.
Other duties as assigned that are designated by the PMSP Training Team.
This position does not authorize/require the consultant to directly communicate with IBTCI clients.
This position does not authorize/require the consultant to have decision making authority on final work product.
At least a Bachelor’s degree and 15 years of experience in related field.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, analytic skills, interpersonal skills, and time management skills.
Demonstrated familiarity with CLA.
Previous experience with international organization/s and/or UN in a humanitarian and/ or conflict/post-conflict settings is required.
Proven Capacity to interact with a variety of stakeholders, including non-governmental partners, and other UN agencies and international donors is desirable (especially by working remotely).
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience with USAID M&E Mechanisms.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of USAID procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with US Government representatives.
Proficiency in Microsoft programs i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
Experience in developing and leading knowledge management programs, facilitating communities of practice.
Facilitation of groups, meeting, and events, both online and in person.
Experience in developing and supporting learning agenda in support M&E and capacity building projects.
Experience with GIS/GPS mapping software.
Fluency in English Required.
Education: At least a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Working Environment: Work is typically performed in an office environment and remotely.
Physical Requirements: This is largely a sedentary position that requires the ability to speak, hear, see, and lift small objects up to 20 lbs.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Travel: Travel not required.
