Job Summary
Mirbeau Inn and Spa is looking for a leader in our Food & Beverage Department to work in conjunction with the Kitchen to ensure exceptional guest service.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and all food and beverage outlets including catering and events, direct the service to meet and exceed all guest needs.

Assist staff with day-to-day tasks, problems, and needs concerning equipment and food supplies.

Ensure prompt and efficient service of all meals, snacks, functions, and beverages.

Ensure all human resource policies and practices are applied consistently while adhering to all federal, state, and local laws.

Responsible for hiring servers, bartenders, hostesses, and bussers. Conduct interviews and reference checks to ensure the most qualified applicant is selected.

Establish and monitor work schedules to maintain proper staffing levels for maximum productivity.

Constantly monitor staff appearance, attitude, and degree of professionalism to ensure their strict adherence to The Mirbeau Inn & Spa.

Manage controllable expenses (beverage, labor) through daily operations review and reaction to property business ebb flow.

Develop, monitor, and maintain all Beverage inventories specific to the Wine Bar, Aqua Terrace, Banquets and Restaurant. Maintain all wine lists and menus as assigned. Order products directly from suppliers as required for daily operations; verify quantities and items against previous day's orders and report shortages/overages to director.

Ensure proper housekeeping and sanitation in all F&B areas.

Plan and analyze all revenue and costs of F&B department to ensure operational acceptability based on budgets; provide forecasting figures to accounting in a timely and accurate as possible manner.

Promote good public relations and handle complaints and concerns of guests.

Properly handle and report all guest accidents and respond properly to any hotel emergency or safety situation.

Conduct and organize Periodic training sessions on topics dedicated to improving staff knowledge, sales, and service techniques. Oversee and direct the service team to meet and exceed all guest needs.

Maintain effective communication with F&B department and Sales to ensure successful banquet functions. Coordinate special events and promotions in restaurants, dining outlets, and banquet facilities.

Utilize the computer system in ringing up sales, printing checks, closing checks, and completing closing readings.

Work with the Executive Chef on the budget and financial reviews of department and property.

Responsible for completing payroll on a weekly basis.
Qualifications, Skills & Educational Requirements
This position requires an associate's degree in the restaurant/food service industry, at least 5 years prior experience as a manager of a high volume and fine dining property, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. The ideal candidate would have excellent people, verbal, and writing skills.
