Job Overview:
As the General Manager, you’ll be an essential part of our startup, driving the success of day-to-day operations while setting the foundation for growth. You’ll work closely with the founder to set strategic goals, ensure operational excellence, and lead a small but dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to grow with the company, take on new challenges, and significantly impact the business as we expand.
Responsibilities:
- Operational Management: Oversee and manage daily operations, ensuring timely, high-quality project execution that meets client satisfaction
- Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with business owners/property managers to set and achieve measurable goals
- Team Development: Lead, recruit, train, and manage a growing team of drone operators and technicians, creating a positive and productive work environment
- Workflow & Scheduling: Plan and manage workflow on job sites, monitor progress, and address any operational issues efficiently
- Safety & Compliance: Conduct safety meetings, ensure compliance with OSHA and FAA regulations, and maintain high safety standards across operations
- Client Relations: Perform in-person estimates, manage post-job client satisfaction, and promptly resolve any issues to maintain strong relationships
- Equipment Management: Oversee vehicle and drone maintenance and inventory, ensuring all equipment is in optimal working condition
- KPI Tracking: Develop and monitor key performance indicators to ensure consistent performance and identify areas for improvement
Qualifications:
- Experience: 3+ years of experience as a General Manager or in a similar leadership role within the exterior cleaning industry
- Leadership Skills: Strong team leadership with a proven ability to manage, train, and motivate staff while fostering a positive culture
- FAA Part 107 Certification: Current certification or ability to obtain this within the first 90 days
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to interact with staff, clients, vendors, and community members
- Safety-Oriented: Knowledge of safety regulations and industry best practices; OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus
- Problem-Solver: Able to handle challenging situations with professionalism and create efficient solutions
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and perform outdoor, standing work in various weather conditions
- Broad Business Experience: Proven experience across multiple key areas critical to small business success, including sales, marketing, administration, and operations, is a plus
- Insurable: Must have a Class C insurable driving record
