TITLE: Lead Scrum Master
DUTIES: DFS Corporate Services LLC seeks Lead Scrum Master in Riverwoods, IL to ensure impediments are resolved and the team meets sprint objectives and that releases stay on track. Facilitate team activities, including daily stand-up meetings, grooming, sprint planning, demonstrations, release planning and team retrospectives. Manage sprint release deliverables and proactively identify and resolve impediments to ensure sprint releases stay on track and update sprint activities in Agile planning and execution tracking tool. Participate in program increment (PI) planning events and communicate Agile team’s progress, dependencies and impediments to the program owners and other stakeholders. Track Agile metrics like Velocity, Sprint burndown and Release burndown. Collaborate with product owners and senior managers to prepare for the PI events. Coach the team on Agile best practices and implement it during the sprints and train the team on Agile scrum methodology and maturity of Agile adoption. Promote a risk-aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in job offered or related occupation: conducting Sprint planning, backlog refinement, team retrospective meetings, daily standup meetings and demo sessions; facilitating the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) including analyses, design, development, testing, system integration, deployment and maintenance; facilitating system integration and user acceptance testing support; utilizing Agile Methodologies; responsible for training the team to adapt the agile methodologies and improve the agile adoption maturity using maturity assessments; utilizing technologies including Microsoft tech stack, .Net Framework, C#, VB.Net, ADO.Net, ASP.Net, SQL Server, Oracle, PL/SQL, HTML; utilizing project management tools including Version One, JIRA, Rally, MS Project.
