Responsibilities:
LOCATION: NORTH MIAMI, FL

The BDM-Services is an outside sales role that specifically focuses on developing business and new service offerings and project sales in a dedicated market. The BDM-Services is primarily responsible for identifying new prospects, soliciting, selling and implementing Office Depot services to the SMB market within a defined geography. This position will target markets by direct outside sales with customers that typically have between 1 and 250 employees. The BDM-Services is the "gate keeper" for all store-generated leads (FRAM, ITaaS, Business Services, SPC, CPD) within the market and leverages appropriate resources to close sales opportunities.

BDM-Services are also responsible for services sales growth within the stores they support (in their market) through ongoing coaching and development of store associates. BDM-Services will also be responsible for driving traffic into our Retail stores and strengthening our core office supply sales.

This position will be responsible for attainment of an annual new business incremental sales goal as outlined in the Incentive Compensation Plan.

Qualifications:
High School diploma or equiv, Bachelors preferred

Business, Marketing, Retail, or related field preferred

Professional B2B Outside Sales

E-Mail via Microsoft Outlook

Experience with CRM systems; Salesforce.com preferred

Strong Sales skills

Proven performance in sales with high achievement and consistently strong results

Thorough grasp of professional and consultative selling skills. The close cycle ranges from a "one call close" to multiple calls over many months.

Demonstrated understanding of the customer relationship process and a demonstrated record of mid to senior level customer contacts.

Fluid organization agility (the ability to quickly learn, understand and navigate an organization at the upper to lower levels.

Other Information:
Engage in sales activities outside of the office, face-to-face, including, but not limited to, creating relationships with decision influencers, decision makers, end users, current buyers and new prospects within an organization, on a regular, as required, basis. The BDM-Services will have quota of new account revenue to achieve annually.

This position will build business & customer relationships, regardless of the prospects contractual status, by proactively creating an awareness and presence with customers and insuring that prospective customers are familiarized with Office Depot's Services and Products.

Network and cold call prospective customers and leads (based on customer profile in volume, size and service requirements) to arrange meeting times to present Office Depot products and Services as a potential business solution. Present Office Depot solutions that relate directly to key needs and business issues.

Enter and maintain customer information in Office Depot's CRM system (SFDC) on a regular basis and in a timely fashion. Further, extract customer information to create business plans, sales presentations and support strategic customer solutions. Will act as a peer coach/sales team motivator for other sales representatives.

This position will work closely with the Office Depot stores within the defined geography (district) to drive awareness of Office Depot products, business and new service offerings to increase lead/revenue volume. The BDM-Services will also be responsible for SMB services growth within these stores and will help drive new customers into these locations to strengthen core supply revenue.
